Rev. J.P. Robins (Puthenparambil) earned his Masters in Urban Ministry from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary and MBA from De Montfort University. He is ministering at Tremont Temple - an international church in downtown Boston. Previously, Robins has held various management positions at technology companies. He lives in Boston, MA with his wife, Elizabeth, and their 3 children.

We are familiar with the old adage that "birds of the same feather flock together", that is "people with the same or similar tastes tend to congregate together", as do birds of the same species. This is true of many churches today. We tend to congregate with people who are more like ourselves, with whom we share the same ethnic, economic or educational background. We naturally gravitate to what is most comfortable. As a result, vast majority of local churches remain segregated. And yet this is not the pattern set by the Bible.
